Computers have changed rapidly in terms of processors, portability, cost and RAMs from the past. Nevertheless, the future computers willhave many desirable features that will enable users to watchunlimited programs, have automatic recharging, super-portability, andincreased security. This paper aims to discuss computing improvementsthat are likely to be witnessed in the next 10 or 15 years.
Security of computers will be enhanced, as they will be developedwith emotions sensors. The future computers will be fitted withphysiology sensors, tone sensors, and optical sensors. The sensorswill detect when one is stressed and shut down. When one is stressed, security is left at stake (Helander, 2014). Individuals tend to leavetheir computers without locking and key information such as passwordscan be accessed easily. Clouding technology will be streamlined toenable scanning of information directly. Hackers will not be able toaccess information via the internet or in the clouds. The computerswill be able to notify the FBI or the organization that will bedealing with cyber-crimes when it detects unauthorized attempts toaccess private information. The computers will be designed to acceptlog-ins from listed individuals only after verification. In thefuture, data processing will be shifted from an actual computer tocloud. Moreover, computers will be able to execute tasks withincredible speed.
Computing power requirements are likely to decline in the next 15years. A chip will be installed in computers to prevent subsystemsfrom drawing power when unnecessary. Computers will be fitted withchips that can access solar power. The silicon chips will be capableof providing varied voltages from both solar and electric powers. Thewireless charging system of a computer will be able to detect whenthe voltage is high and stop charging immediately. It will be easierto continue with computing activities and recharge our computersusing car batteries while driving.
The future computers will be super-portable such that one will beable to fit them in an envelope or pocket. One will be capableaddressing an audience, drive or take a meal while the computer is inthe pocket. The materials used for computing will be extremely lightand durable. Computer designers with produce laptops that are superthin to suit the interest of the end users. In Moreover, the superthin computers will be fitted with addition features. The computerswill be capable of projecting information without the need for anexternal device. People will be able to switch the projectionapplication while holding computers in their palms.
Computers will have unlimited storage capacity and increasedresolution of more than 7,680 x 4,320. Computers will be designedusing molecular memories and carbon nanoballs. Carbon nanoballsfitted in computers will be able to read and store data. Tinysupercomputers will replace the current semi-conductor chips, providing vast storage capacity. Since all computer movies, music andprograms will be stored in the cloud, an individual will be to accesssubscribed movies or programs instantly upon their release.
Future computing will involve 3-D printing of many products, withhigh speed. Currently, 3-D printing is applied on complex processessuch as engines and vehicles manufacturing. Future computing willreduce the use of many actual manufacturing companies.Companieswill market the manufacturing technologies and individuals willsubscribe on a monthly basis. Upon acquisition the necessary rawmaterials, one will be able to process products at home.
