Knowledge of the law is an essential aspect for every person who isliable for being presented before a court of law. There are numeroustimes when people prefer to be presented by their attorneys. However,most of these people feel that they would have handled interrogationsbetter than their attorneys during a hearing. My choice to undertakea law degree in this reputable university has been informed by thefact that I have enormous experience in legal affairs since I havebeen in courtrooms severally. The desire to handle my cases well andto ensure that I win is one of the greatest factors influencing mydecision to undertake a law degree.
Notably, I have lost huge amounts of money paying attorneys where Iend up losing cases. A case in point is a legal battle that I lostafter spending over $75000 in legal fees. Furthermore, I lostnumerous hours preparing for the case. During the case, I wasconvinced that I would have handled the case better than the attorneyif I had sufficient knowledge in real estate law and employment law.This law degree will enable me to return to the same court a fewyears later and represent myself. It is my conviction that I willeventually win this case.
It is general knowledge that attorneys charge huge amounts of moneyfor their services. The underprivileged members of the society cannotafford such services and they end up being incarcerated in instanceswhere they would have won cases. This problem is compounded by thefact that the poor in society are likely to be uneducated andtherefore, they lack any knowledge in law. My desire to undertakethis law degree is driven by the need to help the poor in the societywith legal services. This will be a huge step towards communityservice. I am sure that this university will offer me the necessaryknowledge and skills in legal affairs hence enabling me to representmy clients well and ensure that cases are determined justly.
My research indicated that this university has some of the bestlegal minds in the world and the professors are readily available tooffer students the necessary assistance. Furthermore, the universityhas students pulled from across different backgrounds. These willoffer me a rare opportunity of interacting with different people fromvaried cultural backgrounds. Furthermore, the invitation ofpracticing attorneys will ensure that I gather maximum knowledge fromtheir experience.
My desire to have a decent life and lead a comfortable lifestyleinfluenced my decision to undertake this law degree. It is clear thatattorneys across the world are paid well and they enjoy the impunityof having valuable legal knowledge that is rare (McAlpine, 2013). Ilook forward to succeeding in this career and earning huge amounts ofmoney in future in order to have a comfortable and a happy life.
While concluding, I hope that the reasons I have provided above,together with others that are not included here will convince you tooffer me an opportunity to undertake my law degree and achieve mydream of becoming an attorney. I hope to save huge sums of money inlegal cases, help the needy with legal services and enhance thestandards and quality of my life.
