SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY 2
Itis the joy of tutors to utilize their skills and knowledge inenhancing the attainment of positive educational outcomes.Nonetheless, varying needs, resources, and interests of the learnersand instructors make it difficult to achieve the objective. Theeducation stakeholders, consequently, need to generate functionalapproaches to enhance the realization of the expected results. Sincemy early stages of life, I developed a great interest in teaching, particularly, dealing with children. With time, I observed that somekids face difficulties in comprehending learning instructions due tovarious disabilities. Such students need special attention to improvetheir academic outcomes. My passion led me to choose teaching as acareer. After undertaking intense research, I identified the areas ofinterest and gaps in our educational system. Eventually, Iestablished that Speech-language pathology would be an essential pathfor my career.
Currently,I work as a full-time assistant teacher in special needs preschool. The institution offers reputable educational and therapeutic servicesto children aged between three and five years. Further to that, thepreschool services revolve around speech, language, occupational, andphysical therapy, as well as the early childhood mental healthservices. It is worth noting that I am advancing my skills throughtaking additional classes. In fact, I passed so well in the previousyear that I earned a place on the Dean`s List for the 2016 spring. Iam also a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, whichprovides opportunities for the members to network and acquire skillsthat are crucial to the education sector.
Overtime, I have gained essential information and knowledge aboutassisting learners with special needs. The awareness and experiencegained are meant to promote better approaches in dealing withchildren who have particular requirements. It is imperative that suchkids obtain the right learning instructions. I also understand thatsatisfaction is achievable using elaborate techniques and learningapproaches. Furthermore, the learner identity has a significantimpact on the way studentsassociate with official and informal education. It provides aplatform to adjust and respond to educational systems andexperiences. I also believe that attending to the individualstudents’ needs help them to develop proper techniques forimproving cognitive and physical development.
Ihave a lot of interest in communication sciences as reflected in myattendance to the students’ speech and language therapy pulloutsessions where I experienced the significance and role of speech andlanguage pathology. Furthermore, the use of standardized scales todifferentiate learning instructions is becoming prevalent in thecontemporary society. It is primarily based on learning profiles, needs, and interests that demand the use of descriptive informationin the classroom activities. Moreover, I believe that I will be in abetter position to provide learners with the appropriate therapeuticinterventions over time.
Inconclusion, it is vital for the tutors to use instructions thataddress specific needs of the students to realize their learningobjectives. A consistent technique, which ensures that learners withdisabilities be able to clearly interpret, authenticate, and developthe meaning of their experiences is necessary. Through continuousinteraction with students, educators can reduce misunderstandingswhile allowing pupils to make self-reflections on critical matters inthe learning process. I trust that the skills on speech-languagepathology will aid in the evaluation and treatment of communication, cognition, and voice disorders. The accomplishments I have acquiredover my teaching experiences demonstrate my personal goals andpassion right from the early stages of development.
