People tend to experience various challenges in life. In education, some of the common issues include lack of interest or motivation andits high cost. An application of the Five-Step Model demonstrates howa solution to personal problems in education can be obtained.
The first stage of the model involves identification the issue. It isfollowed by the analysis to understand why the problem is occurring. The next step consists of developing a plan that is implemented inthe following level. The scheme is then evaluated in the final stage.
The personal problem in education can be solved by understanding thedifference between the realities versus the expectations. Forexample, parents and teachers might have high expectations of theirstudents that they fail to meet. Upon identifying the issue, it isessential to understand why it is occurring. For instance, the modeof teaching might be sub-standard, or the students may have limitedor lacked the necessary resources.
After identifying and analyzing the issue, one needs to come up witha plan. The goal of the scheme should aim at enabling students tomeet the expectations of their guardians and tutors. Theinterventions can then be outlined by acquiring the needed resourcesand ensuring the teachers meet the required standards of teaching. The progress of the plan can also be monitored by conducting annualteachers training and seminars as well as performing stock takingwhose reports can indicate the resources input and utilization. Theplan can then be implemented, and at the end of the teachingsemester, it can be evaluated to determine its effectiveness.
In conclusion, the personal problem of students failing to meet thehigh expectations of their parents can be addressed by the Five-StepModel. The approach allows the education issue to be solved and evenestablish if the intervention plan is successful through evaluationafter it has been implemented.
