The ensuing mismatch makes itharder to determine the student’s needs. Some clients may also beunwilling to conduct self-examination of their attitudes andpreferences. This challenge may be overcome by encouraging studentsto participate in the counseling process. Additionally, it isdifficult to manage the high expectations of some clients. In thisrespect, some students may have unreasonable demands (Stoeber,Mutinelli, & Corr, 2016). This challenge may be overcome byhelping clients to eliminate their biases.
