Formationof Lego involves a lot of cooling and molding. The Lego products’raw materials start as plastic granules composed of AcrylonitrileButadiene Styrene (ABS) which are melted at a high temperatureranging from 232 to 450 degrees Celsius. The injection moldingprocess leads to the formation of bricks with a pressure rangingbetween 25 and 150 tons. The formed bricks are later dropped intobuckets at the end of the conveyor unit. Robots then carry thebuckets to the assembly hall where the bricks are designed, andmultiple pieces are later applied pressure to specific parts andlater packed. The Legos firm is located near a river so as to derivewater for the cooling process of the molten Lego and most of the jobsare controlled by machines and robot (Arsenović,Stanković, Radojević & Pezo, 2013).
Thefirst step for making shoes involves cutting of the leather whereeach piece of the leather is molded to the desired shape. The shapedleather is later sewed in 3 dimensions. It`s stitched during thisstep. Pulling over of the stitched leather and placing the inner soleand the process determines the comfortability of the shoe.Chainstitching of the shoe is where the leather is pulled over, andthe upper and inner sole is sewn together. Out sewing is where fineleather is sewn out of the shoe, and this serves greatly to theappearance of the shoe. The edges of the shoe are later ground. Thebottom part of the shoe is then coated, ornamented, and decorated.Finishing touches are applied to the shoe and then branded (Kozaret al., 2014).
Gasolineis derived naturally where exploration is conducted first to discoverthe presence of petroleum products. The oil well is then drilled soas to reach the oil product. It`s later pumped up to the earth`ssurface into pipes that direct the crude oil to the refinery.Fractional distillation is then applied to derive various aspects ofthe crude oil where gasoline is separated from other oil products. Itis later refined by the addition of additives and then the gasolineproducts are rated. Fractional distillation is an essential part ofthe process since the temperature regulation in the system helps toderive various components of the crude oil as no waste are involved(Wanget al., 2013).
Brickclay is first derived by excavating soil and laying the soil in aleveled ground. Impurities are later removed, and the soil is exposedto the weather for a period so as to enable weathering. Bricks aremolded by hand molding and machine molding. Drying of the moldedbricks follows either by clamp burning and kiln burning. The bricksare burned at high temperatures and later cooled (Arsenović,Stanković, Radojević & Pezo, 2013).
Dentalservices depend on the dental disorder one has, ranging from toothdecay, cleansing of the teeth, and alignment. The ailment of theindividual determines the surgery to be administered. Dental servicesare located in hospitals since they have adequate resources andpersonnel that aid dental care. The process also serves as a learningfactor for other practitioners.
Financialservices rendered by the ATM are automated. The transactiondetermines the process ranging from cash withdrawal, cash deposit andchecking of bank balances. Security is a critical issue since peopleuse a bank ATM that guarantees the safety of their funds. Most of thebank ATMs are located in business centers so as to be quicklyaccessed by clients.
Manufacturingof goods involves the use of machinery as compared to delivering ofservices which are based on the level of experience of thepractitioner. In the production process, there are key areas in thefirm whose failure will result in failure of the entire system, andthus the production of low-quality goods. However, when deliveringservices, every aspect of the delivery of services is essential andthus, the rendering of services is judged from the starting pointtill the final moment. The entire process in delivering of servicesmay serve as a learning experience since others can observe theprocess, while in the manufacturing of goods and services, there isno learning experience.
