Its relationship with Christianity and Islam also says a lot aboutits identity since it is able to relate to the other people aroundthe world. In particular, records reveal that Christianity was a sectof Judaism and they separated later during the first century. Infact, the differences between the two were evident after Jesusopposed some of their laws. Clearly, the distinct features betweenthe two arise from the God’s commandment, the teachings of theMessiah and the understanding of sin (Judaism, n.d.). On the otherhand, the Islamic religion and Judaism has a common patriarch that isAbraham, and records suggest that they come from the two sons thatare Isaac and Ishmael. The three religions are also monotheistic, andthat shows how the three religions are quite familiar with eachother. Hence, the similarity with the other religions is a crucialpart that defines it.
