HEALTHCARE POLICY 3
Healthcarepolicy can be considered as the deliberations that are undertaken toensure that they achieve specific healthcare objective within thecommunity. Therefore, one of the healthcare policies that havecurrently impacted my practice includes personal healthcare policy. This type of policy was formulated to ensure that they addressfinancial, quality and access aspect of the healthcare. Since thegovernment comes into place to fund the healthcare, there is animprovement that is associated with such actions. The informationwas obtained from insurance companies on how they have improvedservice delivery by funding healthcare for those who are not able tofund them (Milstead, 2013).
Personalhealthcare policy is said to have a positive impact on thehealthcare, for instance, the insurance firms have been able to meetthe cost of various services. Additionally, it has led to improvedservice delivery, and the patients can access any healthcare servicesrequired of them. Personally, the policy is affecting my nursingpractice in various ways, for example, personal healthcare policystates that everyone has the right to healthcare services (Milstead,2013). That implies that as a nurse I have to offer my service to thepeople even before they make payment for those services. Healthcareissue that I experience on the daily basis that requires a policyprocess to change is the mode of payment of services offered. Forinstance, reimbursement of the service delivered sometime is facedwith numerous challenges such as bad debts and that interferes withservice provision. Similarly, kingdonas model provides a precisedefinition of problems and issue and also how they are constructed.Since most of the models are design to solve problems that existwithin the healthcare I would use the guideline provided by kingdonasmodel to help in the developmentof the existing policy (Bauchner, & Fontanarosa, 2016).
