Legalizing marijuana hasalso exposed the drug suppliers making it easy to control andrestrict its usage (Coon & Mitterer, 2012). Moreover, the pricesfor the drug fell when marijuana was legalized for recreational usehence affecting the relevant factories and dealers. The paperdiscusses whether marijuana should be legalized while alcohol madeillegal.
Makingmarijuana legal nationwide would expose the society to dangerouseffects of the drug. Crime increase and health problems in societywould intensify when marijuana is legalized. The society would incurhigh expenses in an attempt to minimize the crimes and handle thehealth issues. Moral decay will also be experienced in the societydue to peer pressure (Coon & Mitterer, 2012). The majority of theyouths would start smoking marijuana and loss of talents to theaddictive buzz would be witnessed. Although the marijuana could befor personal use, its impacts on individuals affect the whole societyin future.
