Discussionon Human Resource Management Questions
Human resourcemanagers play critical roles in business organizations. They areinvolved in streamlining employee relationships, training,recruitment and compensation among other functions. This paperdiscusses my expectations in human resource course, the likelyenjoyable part of the course and skills that I feel are mostessential.
Question#1: My Expectations
Beforeenrolling in human resource course, I had high expectations ofmanaging a large group of workforce in an organization. I desired toenhance my skills of public relations, ensure collaboration andunderstanding among employees.
Question #2: Course Expectation
Iexpect to acquire valuable skills regarding performance appraisal,building of a viable strategic framework that relates toorganizations values, mission statement, and vision. In addition, Iaim to learn more about teamwork and how to handle negative employeesin a workplace.
Question #3: Enjoyable Part in the Course
Team building will be my most enjoyable part. I love organizationsthat thrive on harmony, synergy, and creativity. Effective teambuilding by a human resource manager is likely to release employees’intrinsic motivation for increased performance. Human resource coursewill equip me with skills of selecting the right employees andtraining methods. As a result, I will enable organizations thatemploy me in future to compete favorably with others regardingproductivity, quality and customer retention.
Question #4: Critical Skill
Communicationskills will enable me to become an effective manager. Communicationreduces tension from the employees and affirms their job security.Through effective communication skills, I will able to receivecreative ideas from employees to enhance the employees’performance. I will be able to contribute in key decision-making in agiven organization in collaboration with other managers. I additionimproved communication skills will aid retaining experiencedemployees and attracting new ones.
Question #5: Skills to Work On
Iwork more to develop confidence while meeting potential employers andhow to show appreciation to all people, under all levels. During thecourse, I will focus more on performance appraisal, team building,and communication skills.
