Ihave had sufficient training in over eight foreign languages withmore proficiency in French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, andEnglish. I also have had the privilege of working in various placeswhere I actively took part in linguistic activities. I am anorganized individual who understands the importance of high-levelprofessionalism, efficiency, calmness, and accuracy in my expertise.Additionally, I am highly motivated by any opportunity that comesacross my line of work, enabling me to carry out my duties for thebenefit of that organization.
Forthe greater part of my career, I have been an active member of theUnited States Army for close to six years now with outstandingrecords. During my time in this department, I acquired on-sitetraining and practical experience in transcription, translation ofvarious languages to colleagues and suspects as well as analysis offoreign languages into material that can be quickly and accuratelycomprehended. Some of the training I have undergone, and obtainedcertification include the ATA (American Translators Association)certification and the Spanish-English Federal Court InterpreterCertification. Additionally, I learned how to create graphic andvoice formats with high-degree accuracy from translated andtranscribed languages. In this department, I was able to contributemore than five hundred translations, provided social analysisspecifically to support intelligence, trained junior languageanalysts, performed analysis assistance of serialized items anddirected new training programs for newly recruited army officers.
Apartfrom this job, I have also worked as an interpreter for the Humanintelligence collection team. As such, my duties and responsibilitiesincluded but were not limited to translation of knowledgeablesources, taking part in military source operations, volunteering toteach Arabic classes to interested colleagues and mentoring otherupcoming interpreters to improve their skills and competencies. Ontop of that, I have been a linguist liaison for the United Statesunder the Central Criminal Court of Iraq. In this period, Iinterviewed soldiers and prisoners as well as taking part in hearingsand trials. I offered written summaries, translated court proceedingsand updated all the relevant court records. Furthermore, myavailability led to the selection as a trainer for security advisorsand translation support for Iraqi officials.
Toenhance my professional aptitude, I have been able to establish soundleadership skills, information assembly and processing coupled withproficiency in valid data and information storage and the subsequentreporting. As such, I have been the team leader in the three places Ihave worked with several awards as rewards for my efforts. I alsoparticipated in linguistic data documentation, the establishment oftranslation guidelines and transcription together with partnershipactivities.
