Humanbeings are social in nature. In our daily, we are exposed to numerousopportunities through which we can interact and have a positiveimpact on others. Students come from different backgrounds henceschool provides a perfect environment for socializing. Theprimary objective of this essay is to describe how I have been ableto contribute to my community and impact positively on the lives ofpeople in my surrounding.
Ihave always dedicated my time to assist new international students insettling within the shortest duration of time. Given my position asthe captain of the Math League team, which comprises of a significantnumber of international students, I am in a better position to offermy assistance as we get to know more about each other. Due to mystatus as a senior student, I am very knowledgeable on numerousaspects of the school. These students have been encouraged by my actof kindness, as such, their academic transition and adaptation in thenew environment have not been difficult.
Mathematicsand Science are my preferred subjects. On numerous occasions, I haveoffered them free assistance when revising to make sure none of themencounters difficulties during examinations. This is because theprimary objective of going to school is to acquire a comprehensiveeducation, which includes passing out examinations with the bestgrades possible and also excelling in non-academic activities, suchas sports. Through my help, they have been able to prepare and passin standardized tests. This collaboration saw our Math League teambenefit as we were crowned champions in three successivecompetitions.
Furthermore,I have offered my guidance in showing them the local restaurantswhere they can go for their meals. Some of them have been shocked bythe types of food in the region. This is a common occurrence foranyone visiting a new place for the first time. I have beeninstrumental in encouraging them not to be afraid to try out newdelicacies.
Inconclusion, I am glad that I have made a positive impact on the livesof my fellow students. They have faced minimal problems whilesettling down. Indeed, no act of kindness is too small to beappreciated.
