Computationtomography, as an area of specialization in the field of healthcare, entails the use of CT scan and other equipment to come up with imagesthat are useful in the diagnosis of traumatic conditions and diseases(Shah et al., 2016). A CT technologist carries out various processesas well as provides images that can be used for interpretation or beavailed anytime at the request of a certified doctor or a nurse. As aprofessional, he has the responsibility of offering specializedverdicts in the services performed, recognizing as well as providingsuitable care and comfort to the patients and to closely follow thesafety procedures that are necessary to complete CT practicessuccessfully. My desire to serve and pursue studies within this areahas grown daily. It is essential for one to have an excellentbackground picture of the area he aspires to study, his strengths, interests, hobbies, and other traits that shaped his desire to choosethe career.
Sincechildhood, my love to work in the field of healthcare has beenundisputable. My parents nurtured me to acknowledge that one of theprimary responsibilities of a man is touching the lives ofindividuals even if they will not give something in return orrecognize the efforts made. The mentality became part of me during mytender age when I was once left to take care of my ailing father. Icould feel the joy that came along every time I brought a smile to myfather’s face and touched his heart. The actions were not onlyfulfilling but also rewarding.
Naturally,I am a flexible person. I enjoy serving in an accommodatingenvironment, which is a major characteristic of the healthcaresector. I can confidently assert that my admiration rests on thisaspect. The working schedules are not only adjustable, but alsofriendly making the field exciting. This nature is also crucial whenit comes to the aspect of social life. With a flexible schedule, onecan easily create a balance between the social and the professionallife. I value my communal life and love spending much time with myfamily and friends. I am also a cyclist and I take part in vigorousexercises to keep my body fit. Being a mother to both human and furchildren, I need some moments off my busy schedule to show love andcare to them. Undeniably, everything keeps changing in the day to dayactivities eliminating cases of monotony that lead to boredom.
Ihave both the academic qualifications and experience that I believewill act my foundation in this career. After graduating from aradiography program, I got absorbed in the field, and this allowed meto meet my career goals and also take care of my young children andmy ageing parents. This condition is the best thing that can happento a person. However, it is time to get a new challenge. Theemployment sector is ever-diversifying, and one has to take movesthat will keep him relevant and marketable in the field. Employersare ever in need of employees that are multi-modal. It is alsoevident that the CT technologists are few and the workload is everrising thus, increasing their demand.
Ina recap, my physical abilities, like the desire to assist thepatients in and out of the wheelchair and examination desk coupledwith my behavioral standards, like the capability to maintaincomposure even in stressful situations, have always assured me that Iam destined to great heights. I will be grateful if offered a chanceto realize this dream from your institution.
