Besides, since distinctcountries have varied cultures, nations have varying comfort foods.One food that is perceived as comfort in one country is not viewedthe same in another nation. Although most comfort foods aredelicious and have attractive smell, taste is not their onlydistinguishing aspect, but individuals relate psychologically withthem, which make them have certain memories and feelings with thefood (Oler 16). The aim of this report is to discuss differentcomfort foods that are associated with distinct cultures a focuswould be paid on the Canadian, Brazilian, Spanish, Mexican, and theChinese cultures.
ComfortFoods in Different Cultures
Asindicated earlier, different cultures tend to have distinct comfortfoods. According to the Canadian culture, poutine is considered acomfort food. The Francophiles of Canada do not consume just anyFrench fries, but they soak their fries in melted cheese curds orsometimes top the fries with veggies and meat. Poutine is the bestsatisfying dish. Inthe Spanish culture, people are usually fond of Tortilla Espanola.This kind of food comprises of sautéed potato together with onion,which are baked into eggs (Oler 74).
