Anyadvancement in education helps to improve the skills and competenciesof an individual. Employers look for different qualities whileselecting employees in their workplaces. Due to the increase indemand for employees with masters, the benefits are equally many. Oneof them is job security. Once an employer gets an employee withmasters, it gets hard to let them go. More so, compensation rates arealso high. Career mobility also becomes part of the benefits oftaking the program.
Upongraduation, I have a dream of securing a prime job in the corporateworld. Essentially, this will help me demonstrate the abilities andput into practice the knowledge acquired through the program. My mainaspiration is to bring a significant change in the field that I willtake. Introducing new ideas that are practical and related to themarketplace of the day will help to bring change in the entirebusiness world.
Oneof the main aims of taking the program is to have career mobility.Chiefly, this will guarantee my progression towards the topmanagement team of a blue chip company. Through the demonstration ofcompetence and hard work combined with vital skills gained in theprogram, there is the possibility of moving the ladder vertically. Ibelieve that this will be a good anchor for long-term career goals.On top of that, it will be a chance to prepare for furtherdevelopments in my career. Additionally, I have the knowledge thatthe program is valuable for those desiring extra knowledge inspecific areas meaning that I will be in a position to expand myskills in areas of interest. I look forward to improving myadministrative qualifications and interacting with professionals invarious disciplines.
Beforeenrolling in the program, I used to work for an electronics companyas a marketing executive. The role is quite challenging. Theexecutive has to lead a team that will deliver on the targets of thecompany amid limited resources. More so, the marketing executive haslittle control over employees in other departments. Despite suchchallenges, I did mobilize my team in a way that it always met andeven exceeded the targets. I achieved this by motivating the teammembers to go the extra mile and deliver. Creating passion among themarketing team without the promise of monetary rewards brought actualchange. More so, I persuaded the management to allocate moreresources if the targets were to be met. Additionally, there was acordial relationship with the production team, which made it possibleto address the needs of the customers without going through a longprocess. I believe that it did not only improve the process but alsohelped to put the available resources to better use. In fact, one ofthe leadership roles is to mobilize resources (Raelin,2016).Theeffort was successful as it brought an increase in sales and alsoproducts of high quality. The company also registered a tremendousincrease in the revenues for the company.
Alternativeto Gaining Employment
Inthe instance that I fail to secure a job, I consider starting amanagement consulting firm. Several reasons have made me considerthis route. Among the reasons is that it is not capitals intensive.More so, the registration process is not as tedious as otherventures. Additionally, it will be a good way of gaining theexperience needed to start a bigger venture, which I plan to have inthe foreseeable future.
